And if anyone here is reading my fictional Beta journal -- it apparently won't get updated till I get back. (Despite my having written a couple entries and e'd them to myself for later posting.) I can't get the beta journal to come up on IE here, so you'll just have to wonder what our hero did to get back at the kids on Tuesday.
(If you're curious -- yes, my 8th grade Geometry class did that once. Not to a sub, though. Somewhere, I have a photograph.)

I hate to break it to ya, but it was Algebra 2 in 9th grade.
Was it? I knew you'd remember (and still have the pic, I bet) -- I thought it was Geometry 'cause we'd had to get in early to sign up for proofs -- but I'll yield to your memory.
Yup, definitely Algebra 2. Remember, it was when there were only the 9 or 10 of us. (We'd never have gotten away with it in a regular sized class!) And yeah, I know I have the pic somewhere, although I'm not sure I could put my hands on it at the moment.
I'd forgotten about signing up for proofs...
